January 31, 2014 – Good News Reflections

Dear Praying Friends,
We had a great weekend of meetings at Gateway Baptist Church, in Clarksville, TN.  The Winter Banquet with the Teens and Singles was a great time of fun, fellowship, food, and testimonies.  It’s awesome to see young people with a passion to live for Christ.  This was Dusty’s first time out in over 7 weeks – his voice was low and raspy, but we felt that God used it anyway (he doesn’t have much of an “immune system,” so he seems to catch everything Mrs. Susan has).  We also ministered in their Children’s Church on Sunday morning and in the Sunday evening service.  It was a great time of ministry and fellowship with everyone.
This past week (Monday through Friday) we were busy taking care of Susan’s Mom (doctor’s appointments, Oral surgery, Wal-Mart visits, etc. ).  The surgery went very well – thanks for praying.
We are presently on our way to the Mayo Clinic, in Jacksonville, FL.  Susan’s first appointment is on Monday, February 3rd.  Please pray that the doctors and technicians will be thorough in their testing – it is our prayer that if there is any thyroid tissue left, they will find it.   We’ll be sure to communicate the test results as soon as we know.  Please continue to pray for:
  • Our safety in travels,
  • The doctors and technicians,
  • God’s provision during this time, and
  • That God would give us many opportunities to share the Gospel.
Take care and God bless!
Reaching Families for Him,
Tim, Susan, and Rachel Vermaas
