Dear Praying Friends,

Lighthouse Baptist Church
This past week at Lighthouse Baptist Church was such a blessing! It was awesome to see the buses rolling out to pick-up neighborhood children for the meetings. By Wednesday evening, 8 precious young people came to receive Jesus as their Savior. Nothing in all the world even compares to the joy of seeing someone give their life to Christ!

One hour before each service we like to pray as a group for the meeting that night. Our hearts were so encouraged by the focus that was placed on this time of prayer, as many came and joined us each evening. There’s just something special about coming together in prayer on behalf of lost souls.

Riverside Baptist Church
We will begin a Family Crusade tomorrow morning, at Riverside Baptist Church, in Clarington, OH. Pray that God will work in hearts and that many will respond to the Gospel. We’re excited to partner with this dear pastor and his Church family in reaching their community for Christ.

God knows our needs
Our dryer had gone out a few weeks ago; and our washer went out this past week. A man at Lighthouse Baptist repaired both of them and had them back to us by Wednesday. The repair on the washer is a temporary fix, but we are thankful to have them back and running again. God knows our needs and so Faithfully takes care of us.

Humorous Happenings
While driving to our next meeting, in Clarington, OH, we heard a clicking sound coming from one of the tires. We listened carefully, but could not determine which tire it was coming from. So – Tim decided that I needed to drive, while he sat in the bed of the truck, so he could listen more closely (yes – the trailer was still hitched into the bed of the truck). Now, get this all into one pile of “putty.” I’m driving the rig around in the Mall parking lot, while Tim is sitting on the edge of the truck bed, with the front of the trailer almost touching him. As I turn corners, I’m looking back to make sure the trailer doesn’t bump him off the edge and into the road. It’s so close that Tim decides to actually get into the bed of the truck (in front of the hitch). We go from driving around in the Mall parking lot, to driving on a four lane road, because the clicking didn’t happen at lower speeds. So, here is this 6′ 7″ man, wearing a red shirt, in between the front of the trailer and the cab of the truck, leaning over the side to listen for a clicking sound – while his wife drives the rig down the road. This sight just tickled my funny bone, and I had to share it with you. Tim is fine – but my ribs are still hurting from laughing so hard!

God kept us safe
After driving through VA, WV, MD, PA, and OH, we arrived at our destination, in Clarington, OH (NO! – Tim was not still in the bed of the truck). On Friday, Tim “broke-down” each of the trailer wheels, and on the final wheel, the outside bearings literally fell apart in his hands. Please pray with us that we will be able to locate new bearings and install them before the end of the week (we may have to order them). Our God kept us safe through 5 states, up and down mountains, and got us to our destination without one incident. The trailer spindle looks fine, and the bolt on the end of the axle held the wheel in place the entire trip. Praise God for His Faithful watch-care over us and our rig!!!

Reaching Families for Him,

Tim, Susan, and Rachel Vermaas
