December 10, 2014 – Good News Reflections

Dear Praying Friends,

We want to thank those of you who have been praying for us, especially over the past two months. We finally finished with the distribution of Susan’s parents’ things just before Thanksgiving (what we thought would be a 2 week job turned into 2 months). We are thankful to Pastor Baggett and Bible Baptist Church for allowing us to hook-up our 5th Wheel there on the church property – they really ministered to us during our time in Clarksville.

Even though we were working with family responsibilities, the Lord gave us some wonderful ministry opportunities:

October 1 – Elementary Chapel at Fairview Christian Academy, in Athens, TN
October 1-3 – Rachel joined the Fairview Christian Academy teens for a Retreat at The Wild’s Christian Camp, in Brevard, NC
October 15 – Wednesday evening service at Bible Baptist Church, in Clarksville, TN
November 2 – Children’s Church at Bible Baptist Church, in Clarksville, TN 4 young people accepted Christ
November 3 – AWANA Counsel Time at Bible Baptist Church, in Clarksville, TN (Tim and Rachel did a juggling routine)
November 6-8 – Taught at the Loving and Leading Children’s Conference at First Baptist Church, in Milford, OH
November 9 – Junior Church at First Baptist Church, in Milford, OH 6 young people accepted Christ
November 13 – 15 – Taught at the Music City Fellowship of Christian Magicians in Nashville, TN
November 23 – Children’s Church at Bible Baptist Church, in Clarksville, TN 2 young people accepted Christ
December 7 – Children’s Church at Lupton Drive Baptist Church, in Hixson, TN

This coming Sunday (Dec. 14th) all three of us will be participating in our church’s Christmas Cantata (Tim and Rachel in the drama, and Susan in the choir). The following Sunday (Dec. 21st) we will be doing a special Christmas service for Children’s Church here at Fairview Baptist Church.

Praises and Prayer Requests
Please continue to pray for Susan’s health (the last few months have been very hard on her). Stress and not enough sleep are both factors that increase pain for people with Fibromyalgia. Needless to say, we are excited about being home so she can get some much needed rest.

Susan’s last tumor marker (test for cancer) was 0 – we praise God that the cancer that was removed last year at this time, has not returned.

Also, pray for us as we finish our end-of-the-year projects, and begin our preparation for next year’s programming.

We are excited to see what God has in store for 2015.

Reaching Families for Him,

Tim, Susan, and Rachel Vermaas
