February 14, 2015 – Good News Reflections

Dear Praying Friends,

We had a great time of ministry this past weekend, at one of our supporting Churches, Community Baptist Church, in Whitwell, TN. It was great to fellowship with everyone again and to see many visitors. On Saturday, they had their Valentine’s banquet with a fun time of games, and a program at the end. We also enjoyed a great time of ministry on Sunday. We’re looking forward to being with them again this summer for a Family Crusade.

We are on our way to Florida, where we will be doing two different Children’s Mission’s Conferences. The first conference is at another one of our supporting Churches, Starkey Road Baptist Church, in Largo, FL. Then we will be at New Hope Baptist Church, in Parrish, FL. Please pray that God will use us to challenge and encourage these young people in the area of Mission’s. We are so burdened for the persecuted Church, and plan to focus on tangible ways to be an encouragement. We’re excited about involving the young people through times of prayer, letter writing, and putting together care packages. We want to involve the young people in ways that will be of help to the persecuted Church.

We are stopping in Jacksonville, FL tonight and plan to join our friends at St. Augustine Road Baptist Church for services tomorrow. They were such a blessing to us when we were at the Mayo Clinic (for Susan’s cancer surgery) – allowing us to hook-up our 5th Wheel on their property. They treated us as if they had known us for years. Isn’t God’s family wonderful! We are blessed to meet more and more of our family as we travel across this country!

On Tuesday night (February 17th), we plan to do some Teacher Training in Puppetry and Ventriloquism, before the start of the Mission’s Conference, at Starkey Road Baptist Church. Their Puppet Ministry has grown so much, that they have several different teams (most of them families). They also have a support staff that takes care of the props and stage, as well as people trained in drama. They are ministry-minded and desire to honor the Lord with their talents. We’re excited about our time with them.

March 3rd is Rachel’s birthday – she will be 13 . . . a “teen-ager”. . . Wow! Where has the time gone! We are enjoying every minute with her, because we know that the next few years will fly by quickly. Pray that God will give us His wisdom to train and teach her to follow and serve Christ with all of her heart.

Prayer Requests:

* Safety on the roads,
* Physical health and strength (especially for Susan),
* Many decisions for Christ, and
* God’s financial provision (this time of year is always challenging)

May God bless you as you continue to serve Him!

Reaching Families for Him,

Tim, Susan, and Rachel Vermaas
