Dear Praying Friends,
We had a great time of ministry at Way of the Cross Baptist Church, in McDonough, GA, this past weekend. We had the privilege of ministering with their Children’s Church, who has supported us for many years. We also ministered with the whole Church in their afternoon service. This last year, Pastor Bell and Ms. Lynne brought a group of young people to Camp Fairview during the “Good News” week, and are planning to bring a group again this year. If you would like to join us for this week of camp (July 1-5, 2013), contact Alex Newton at: (423) 368-6170.
We are presently on our way to Starkey Road Baptist Church, in Seminole, FL where we will do a Children’s Mission’s Conference (during the adult Conference). The following Wednesday we start another Children’s Mission’s Conference at New Hope Baptist Church, in Parrish, FL. These conferences will have a dual focus of Missions and Evangelism. Each of the children will have their own “Conference Passport” which will highlight the Missionaries attending the conference. Those who complete “Interesting Facts” about each missionary will earn a prize at the end of the conference. We will also encourage the young people to be Missionaries themselves, by inviting their friends to the meetings. We are excited about what the Lord will do in hearts at both of these conferences.
Health Update on Susan
As many of you know, Susan has been diagnosed with “Hashimoto’s” disease (which is an auto-immune condition where the body attacks the thyroid). However, some of the more severe symptoms Susan is experiencing do not fit with this diagnosis. Because of this, several of her Doctors have encouraged us to keep our appointment with the Mayo Clinic, in Jacksonville, FL. This appointment is scheduled for March 4th (at 7:00 AM), and will begin with Neurology. From there they will refer Susan to other Doctors within the Mayo Clinic (we have 2 weeks scheduled for these appointments). Please pray with us that God will give these Doctors wisdom to find the root cause of the neuropathy.
We cherish your prayers for health, strength, and safety as we move into our busy season.
Reaching families for Him,
Tim, Susan, and Rachel Vermaas
