March 25, 2013 – Good News Reflections

March 25, 2013

Dear Praying Friends,

We enjoyed our time of ministry on Sunday, at Lighthouse Baptist Church, in Valdosta, GA.  We were scheduled to be there two weekends ago for a “Sports Banquet” on Friday, and ministry on Sunday, but had to reschedule the meeting due to Tim’s Mom passing away.  Since Lighthouse Baptist Church is only 2 hours from Jacksonville, we were able to drive back on Sunday night (for Susan’s appointment on Monday at the Mayo Clinic).

Update on Susan

We received the results this afternoon on the thyroid biopsies. They are ALL benign. Praise the Lord! The Endocrinologist here at Mayo wants Susan to have another Ultrasound in one year (and thereafter) to keep an eye on the tumors. The Neurologist and the Rheumatologist have said that she has SEVERE Fibromyalgia. They are trying different medications to see what will help (with the least amount of side effects). We are hoping and praying that the medications will help both the Fibromyalgia and the Neuropathy.

We are grateful to Pastor Greg Neal and Berean Baptist Church for allowing us to hook-up our 5th Wheel on their property while we have been at the Mayo Clinic.  It’s awesome how God worked-out a place for us to stay while we have been in the Jacksonville area.

Upcoming Meetings

This weekend we plan to be at Metropolitan Baptist Church, in Wheeling, WV for the Sunday services, as well as several days of teacher training. The following weekend we plan to be at East Sunsbury Baptist Church, in Beallsville, OH. Please PRAY for these dear folks. A week ago on Sunday, their Pastor, Jeff Cox, (age 51) suddenly passed away from cancer. He has a great testimony in the community and will be GREATLY MISSED. Pray especially for his wife, Laurie, and their five children.

Thank you for all of your prayers!

Reaching Families for Him,

Tim, Susan, and Rachel Vermaas
