June 6, 2015 – Good News Reflections

Dear Praying Friends,

Jesus taught His disciples to pray, “Give us this day our daily bread…” We have seen God do exactly that – over and over again.  This spring has been a very challenging time for us, but it has been awesome to see God provide for our daily needs.

  • We had an $1,100.00 bill that was due a couple of weeks ago. The day before it was due, a friend handed me a check for – – you guessed it – – $1,100.00.

  • There were several needs that had to be taken care of before we could leave for the summer – two different Churches gave us very generous love offerings (as well as unexpected gifts from friends and other Churches).

  • We took the truck to have the brakes looked at, and they found over $1,000.00 worth of work that needed to be done on the front end. The good news was that most of the parts were under warranty – so our actual cost was $540.00.  On the way home I stopped by the Post Office and there were two gifts that more than covered the cost of the repairs.

What an Awesome God we serve!!! And what amazing friends God has given us along the way. “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”  Philippians 4:19

Sunday morning we did Children’s Church at Fairview Baptist Church, and then we enjoyed being a part of Camp Sunday.  What makes that extra special is that we live at Camp Fairview (when we are home), but are usually on the road during Camp Sunday.

This past Sunday night we had the privilege of ministering with Pastor Ross Heinricy at Sanford Baptist Church, in Riceville, TN. We have known the Heinricy’s for many years and enjoyed our time of ministry with them.

Prayer Requests

Please continue to pray for Susan – she struggles with constant pain. This past April, her Rheumatologist diagnosed her with Rheumatoid Arthritis. They are trying different medications to relieve the joint inflammation and pain, but her pain level has continued to increase. Needless to say, the constant pain is very exhausting on her physically.

We are currently traveling to Charlottesville, VA to begin a Family Crusade on Sunday, at Faith Baptist Church. We are excited to see what God will do in hearts. Please pray for:

  • Souls to be saved,
  • That God will give us safety and protection in our travels, and
  • For physical health and strength.
