Water Day

Dear Praying Friends,

What an amazing time we had at Camp Fairview this past week!

On Monday night, during the evening service, Nicholas came forward and talked with Pastor Aaron Huling (from Redemption Baptist Church, in Albertville, AL) – Nicholas trusted the Lord as his personal Savior!  On Tuesday night, he came forward again – this time to learn more about Salvation so he could lead his twin sister, Chelsea, to the Lord.  Little did he know that (at that very moment) Chelsea was already praying with Mrs. Lynne, asking the Lord to save her!

Hannah came forward on Wednesday night to pray.  She said she could not remember what she had asked the Lord to do when she was 5 years old and wanted to pray and know for sure that she was saved. Her Mom and Dad (Steven and Lynne Bell) had the privilege of leading her to Christ (Steven Bell is the Pastor of Way of the Cross Baptist Church, in McDonough, GA).

Twelve year old, John, brought a bad attitude with him to Camp, and his attitude remained the same, until Tuesday night, when he responded during the invitation time.  John raised his hand, indicating that he did not know for sure he was on his way to Heaven. John shared with the counselor (Andrew Wiseman) that his mom told him he was saved as a little boy and sprinkled as a baby.  Andrew pointed out that he needed to know for sure himself whether or not he was going to Heaven.  So, that night, John chose to receive Christ as his Savior.  After John made the decision to accept Christ, his attitude completely changed.  He was one of the first to offer to clean after lunch and dinner; and he would freely speak to any of the counselors – whereas before, he would not.

It was awesome to see God work in hearts this week at Camp.  We can’t wait to see what God has in store for these young people in the future.  There were many others who came for reassurance – making sure they were on their way to Heaven as well.  In all, there were 6 young people who asked Jesus to be their personal Savior this week.

This was Rachel’s first time to be a Junior Counselor. It was exciting to see her eagerness and enthusiasm – she really enjoyed getting to help with the young people!

One of the things we do at Camp is to teach Juggling.  In the above left picture, Rachel is juggling a juggling ring, a juggling pin, and a small basketball.

On Monday (July 6th), Rachel (along with many other teens from our church) will be heading to Teen Extreme Youth Camp, at Pensacola Christian College.  Please pray for their safety, and that many life-changing decisions will be made.

Teen Extreme 2015While Rachel is away at teen camp in Florida, we will be doing a Family Crusade at one of our supporting Churches, Community Baptist Church, in Whitwell, TN.  We are excited to see how God will work in hearts!

Thank you for your prayers and support – God is doing some amazing things this year, and we are privileged that He has allowed us to have a small part in it.
