Good News Reflections

Dear Praying Friends,
We had a wonderful week at Community Baptist Church, in Whitwell, TN! Each evening the excitement built with many families and friends visiting. By Thursday night, a total of 65 visitors had come to the meetings.
We’d like to share the story of 11 year old, Austin. On Monday evening, Mrs. Donna went to Austin’s home (her great nephew) to invite him and his Dad to the Family Crusade. She knocked on all of their doors, but no one answered. The next day she went back again on her lunch break, and still no one was home. When she got back to work she called his grandmother to get Austin’s phone number, and this time she was able to speak with Austin and his Dad to invite them to the meetings.
Austin (who had never been to church) came on Tuesday evening and was very attentive to the message. When the invitation was given, he raised his hand for Salvation, and was the first one down the aisle. Donna and her husband, Dale, both had the privilege of talking with Austin and leading him to Christ. What a joy they both received on that night! The persistence of Mrs. Donna made her a great Aunt indeed!
On the way home, Austin told his grandmother that he was a different person now. When he got home, he called his friends and family and shared with them that he had asked Jesus to save him. He also brought several members of his family to the meetings on Wednesday and on Thursday. Austin is a precious young man! Please pray for him that he will continue to come to church so he can grow in his new faith in Christ.
Every night there were folks (including many adults) who raised their hands during the invitation, indicating their need of Salvation. Our hearts are so heavy for those who still need to accept Christ. Pray that they will make that decision very soon.

Rachel just got back last night from Teen Extreme Youth Camp, at Pensacola Christian College – and boy did she have a blast! Rock Climbing, In-line Skating, Bowling, Putt Putt Golf, Swimming, the Water Park, Wally Ball, Volley Ball, Paint Ball, Music Competition, and Team Competitions – were among her favorite activities of the week.
There were two services a day where Pastor Shane Lewis and the Teen Extreme staff ministered to the teens (the music was also a tremendous blessing)!
During the Wednesday evening service, when Pastor Lewis preached about, “No Reserves, No Retreats, No Regrets,” Rachel went forward during the invitation and surrendered her life to whatever God has for her. Our reunion last night was a sweet answer to prayer – not only for safety, but also for decisions that were made.
On Sunday, we will begin a Family Crusade at Iron Hill Baptist Church, in Acworth, GA. We are so excited to see how God will work in hearts this week! Please pray that many will make that decision to ask Jesus to be their personal Savior.
