May 5, 2013 – Good News Reflections

Dear Praying Friends,

We had a great week of ministry at Southside Baptist Church, in Kirksville, Missouri.  There was a good turn-out for the Teacher Training weekend, as well as for the Youth Rally.  It was great to see so many teenagers challenged to study and know their Bibles.

God also blessed during the Family Crusade.  There were 35 visitors for the week, and we praise God for the 3 young people who came to accept Christ as their personal Savior.

The Family Crusade ended on Wednesday evening, and on Thursday evening we ministered at New Hope Baptist Church, in Edina, Missouri (about 30 minutes from Kirksville).  Pastor Rodgerson has a burden for planting Churches here in America (just as many of the missionaries we support around the world do).  This past October, Southside Baptist Church planted New Hope Baptist Church, in Edina – it was exciting to see this new work and to be a small part of what God is doing through Southside Baptist Church.

This morning we gave a ministry update at Calvary Bible Baptist Church, in Washburn, IA (and Susan introduced them to “Frito”).  Tim’s brother-in-law is the pastor at Calvary, and it’s also the Church Tim’s Dad attends. It’s hard being here without visiting with Mom, but we know she is enjoying the presence of her Savior she loves so much.

Thank you for your many prayers for us!

Reaching Families for Him,

Tim, Susan, and Rachel Vermaas
