Dear Praying Friends,
Bible Fellowship Church
This past week was such a blessing at Bible Fellowship Church, in Olney, IL. The van workers made multiple trips each evening so they could bring everyone who wanted to come to the meetings. By Thursday evening there were 66 visitors who came, and 8 who had placed their faith is Jesus as their Savior.
When 16 year old, Gus, came during the invitation, it was obvious that he was ready to make a decision. The counselor let us know that Gus was very serious about making sure he was on his way to Heaven.
Then there was Austin, who went home after the service on Tuesday night and prayed to accept Jesus. Katelin also asked Jesus to save her at home on the very same night. God’s Word will never return void – we praise Him for continuing to work in hearts!
Thursday evening was so sweet, as 12 year old, Taylor, came to get saved (she had raised her hand during the invitation, several times throughout the week, but didn’t come forward). When we shared with the Church about her decision, the tears just flowed (and continued to flow – even after the service). She was so excited about her decision to accept Christ. It was such a sweet service!
Eleventh Avenue Baptist Church
We praise God for getting us to Dalton, GA safely on Friday night, but the vibration in the drive train is definitely getting worse. We plan to take the truck into the shop on Monday – hopefully it will be ready in a few days.
Tomorrow we begin a Family Crusade at Eleventh Avenue Baptist Church, in Dalton, GA. Please pray with us that the lost will see their need of Jesus, and that Christians will be challenged to live for Him. We’re excited to see how God is going to work this week!
On the Funny Side
A funny thing happened on Thursday evening at the end of the service. While I (Susan) was busy giving away prizes for the drawing, Tim was packing-up the illusion that uses a red, wooden heart and other wooden objects, like: a bar of gold, a die, a pill (to illustrate drugs), and a skull. These objects represented the tools that Satan likes to use to tie-up our hearts. Anyway – as Tim was placing them into the tote, the tote got off balance and began to fall. In the process of Tim trying to grab the tote, the skull catapulted through the air, and landed in the baptistery. This all happened in front of everyone, and as far as we know, no one even noticed. When Tim later told me what happened, I laughed so hard, I was in tears.
On that note, I think we will close for now. Have a blessed Lord’s day!
